The huge 20,000 acre parcel stretches from north to south at Woodmen Road past Bradley Road and spans east to west from Meridian Road to Marksheffel Road. The history of Banning Lewis Ranch dates back to 1897 and the property has changed hands multiple times. Today, a few different owners share a portion of the land, with Oakwood Homes and Norwood Development being two of the major players.
Falcon School District 49 serves the students living in the Marksheffel communities and the primary zip codes are 80927 and 80951. Peterson Air Force Base is located just 5 miles from the heart of Marksheffel and Schriever Air Force Base and Fort Carson are both just a short 20 minute commute.
